Coming From, or Visiting Canada? *NEW*

If you are coming from Canada or you are visiting Canada you should bring your passport. It was due in 2007 that a passport was required. Currently you may be able to get through with TWO pieces of government issued photo ID, but you can get through easier with a passport.

Do you accept Canadian Dollars?

No we do not accept Canadian dollars. Only US dollars are acceptable. If you are from Canada, you can get a US dollar bank account and write cheques from it. Do not try to give the equivalent Canadian amount.

How To Pay The Balance?

Upon arrival, you need to pay the balance owing. This should be in US dollars, cash or money order, unless otherwise arranged. Unless previously arranged or you are a repeat customer, we can't take a cheque from someone we don't know. No offence intended.

Usually somone will meet you at the cabin to collect the balance and provide you access to the cabin.

Where is it located?

Birch Bay, just before the state park.

How Long Does It Take To Get There?

It depends on where you are coming from. It is about 10 minutes drive south from the border, if you are coming from Canada. It is 100 miles North of Seattle, just off of I-5.

How far from the beach is it?

We timed it at just over 30 seconds to walk across the street and onto the beach.

What Is Included

Please read the description.

What do you recommend I bring?

The balance of your rent owing. Unless previously arranged, we can't take a cheque.

Beach shoes, sunscreen, lots of changes of clothes for kids, food & drink.

If you are coming from Canada, do NOT bring meat across the border.

Where Can I Buy Food, Supplies, etc.?

Cost cutters near the truck crossing in Blaine.

Check out our links section for more retail locations you can purchase what you need.

If you are not coming from Canada, we suggest you buy most of your supplies near your home or in a larger city (example Seattle, Bellingham) to get the best prices.

Be sure to check out some of the outstanding restaurants in the area during your stay. No need to be cooking on your vacation if you don't wish to!

Is There A Laundry Service?

No, but there are coin-operated laudry services available within a mile.

Do You Supply Firewood?

No. We have a fire pit out the back near the creek, and the living room has a fireplace. You can get your own wood locally. But do not collect it in the park as you can get a fine.
