Birch Bay Beach

The beach is one of Birch Bay's best features, it is unspoilled, with much of it kept as a national park. Click on any of these pictures to view a larger image.

If you are into birdwatching, this is the place for you. Birch Bay is noted by the Audubon Society as one of the best places to watch birds in Washington State. There are eagle and heron habitats here. You can watch them to your heart's content.

Kayacking is a popular activity here. There is both sea kayacking and there is a creek if you are less adventurous.

The weather is heating up, and it is time to go visit the beach and enjoy yourself. Do you have your vacation booked yet? Consider Birch Bay as an option this year.

What are some of your favorite activities to do at the beach? What would you like to do during your visit? Please enter your comments below:

Where to find Birch Bay

Geography lesson: take your WA roadmap, spread it out, and move your map-finger up to the very NW corner of the state (top left). There, just below where Canada starts (I can almost hear the bottles of Labatt's Blue being opened from my condo balcony) is Blaine, WA. Just around Birch Cape from Blaine (which is on Drayton Harbour, a Canadian water) is Birch Bay.
